Love for Chocobar in December, Runner Up, Wordism S3, Baisakh

Saturday, 22nd December 2018.
Almost half past seven. 11-degree centigrade. She is allergic to cold. And the cold just loves her. It never gets out of her soul. Closed door, check. Room heater on, check. Thick curtains, check. Double blankets, check. Warm overcoat, check. Scarfs and socks, check. Woolen gloves in hands? Take it off. She needs to take her coldness from her soul and pour it into words. Yeah, she needs to type. Cold in her hands does not bother her as much as cold inside of herself does.

She starts with,”My thoughts are not that vivid since it is about couple of years back. It was back in winter. I was shivering in the cold, waiting for you in that green colored bench in the park. Hoping you would arrive soon. But you were never in time, were you?” She chuckles. She adored everything about him, even when people might call it a flaw.
She continues after imagining that bench, that worthy wait, that lateness,” I used to call you several times before you reached me. And you repeated same words every time… five more minutes and I’ll be right there with you…” She never believed it, not once. But she knew, he would be there and that is what mattered for her.

“I used to read book by the author I admire the most. Did not keep the count how many books did I complete every time waiting for you in that bench. It was so addictive you know. That wait. I can never get enough of that wait and patience that exists within me for you. Maybe… Maybe that’s why I have never got ahead in time. I still find myself in that very bench of park every evening of this winter. And cold gets my soul each time.” She remembers she has to complete one of the book today.

So, she ends it with,” I do not know exactly how much will you take to come to that park, sit next to me, tell me you regret that you are late, hold my hands in yours, then we both get up, go for a walk and enjoy your favourite chocobar as we used to. But I certainly know it is worth the lifetime of wait.”

She imagined every detail of his comeback in her mind which may or may not possibly occur. Some things are never good for you but you are so in love with them that you’ll never quit. People get addictive…. CHOCOBAR IN WINTER.

She turns off her computer, puts her gloves back and vanishes to the world where they are together. Her imaginative world where Princess Aurora sang “Once upon a dream…” and Prince Philip fell in love with her.

But if I know you, I know what you’ll do… you’ll love me at once the way you did once upon
